Sridhar Ramakrishnan is a highly accomplished individual with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and significant experience in diverse areas such as Sleep, Neurobehavioral Performance, and Physiological Monitoring.
His expertise lies in Bio-mathematical Modeling, Signal/Image Processing, and Machine Learning, as evidenced by his impressive 34 Refereed Publications.
Currently, Sridhar's research interests revolve around various critical topics including Sleep, PTSD, TBI, Wearables for monitoring vital signs and physiological variables, and Physiological, Cognitive, and Physical (PCP) Health Monitoring and Enhancement.
He is particularly focused on Neuromodulation of Brain for Enhancing Performance, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Dermatology Diagnosis of Skin Conditions, and Cancer Patient Monitoring and Rehabilitation within the PCP domains.
Moreover, Sridhar is involved in cutting-edge research related to Medical Simulators and Palpation-Trainer Manikin Systems.
With a solid research background, Sridhar has engaged in projects ranging from early infection detection using wearable sensors to developing tools for personalized management of sleep and alertness, used by prestigious organizations like the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, NASA, and WRAIR.
His work includes a Bio-mathematical model on the effects of sleep/wake schedule and caffeine on alertness, as well as sophisticated automated detection techniques for various health conditions.
Sridhar's technical expertise spans across Physiological Modeling, Signal/Image Processing, and Machine Learning, where he has developed advanced computational models, conducted time-series analyses, and implemented machine learning algorithms for diverse applications.
He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), University of Mumbai.
