The highly popular US Open Tennis Tournament started yesterday in NY city, but the bigger question is : Does American Tennis have a Pickle Ball problem ? and that answer is YES. I personally have loved tennis and grown up playing tennis as my dad introduced it to me when I was just 9 or 10 years old , but a year or so back I landed up getting two "frozen shoulders" injuries and I transitioned to playing "Pickle Ball" and I absolutely fell in love with the sport : better ball control, better footwork , better hand eye coordination and the doubles mechanism of "dinking" while volleying through points is extremely exciting . Pickle Ball has taken off in America with all age groups and the former tennis pro's and celebrities have also capitalized on this from John McEnroe and Andre Agassi and Jack Sock to Steffi Graff and Maria Sharapova playing Pickle Ball slam. It's an easy sport for anyone to pick up , but hard to excel at as you need to have hours of playing time . It's a combo of Tennis and Table Tennis (Ping Pong) and the transition for tennis and table tennis players is super easy . People such as Tom Brady, LeBron James , Drake and teh emergence of "dink and drink" establishments have tapped into the fantastic social aspects of this game (you get to meet and play with a ton of new people). Infact, for young people "pickle ball dating" is the hottest thing in America and far better than any dating app . It's in line to becoming an Olympic sport and when you watch incredible Pickle Ball power players such as Ben Johns with the angles, footwork and volleys he gets its mind blowing . Another safety design issue with the Tesla Model 3, Y, S and X models: the 12 Volt battery source . This summer we saw many Tesla EV 12 V battery sources die and owners not knowing how to manually unlock the passenger side door (another design flaw) to get out . The algorithm on the new Tesla Model 3, Y, S and X from 2021 onwards now have a problem of not giving a prior warning to the driver that the 12 V battery source is dying . The 12 V battery source is your secondary battery source, not your 85 kWh battery pack that runs your EV . The 12 V powers your doors, computer , power windows, de-latching your charging cord and even moving forward or back . Replacing it is easy , but getting stranded on the highway when this dies is bad news . There is nothing much you can do just like getting a flat tire on a Tesla EV which does not have a spare tire in the trunk . As more adoption of Tesla EVs happen , Tesla needs to rethink how these vehicles are sold. One idea is to provide a second 12 V battery source in the trunk when you purchase the EV (changeout is easy and hassle free) and also the addition of a spare tire for safety and peace of mind .
