The same principle applies in IT. A good system combined with a dedicated team can achieve extraordinary results. Even average talent can shine within a well-structured framework, while the best talent may struggle in a flawed system. At Rackspace Technology and Foundry for AI by Rackspace (FAIR™), we have been working to build an excellent system for managing IT and recruiting great athletes who are willing to work together in this system to do extraordinary things. It’s not easy to do, but 18 months in, we see innovation, business agility, reduced technical debt, operational excellence, and financial discipline as outcomes of this disciplined approach.
Our CIO, D Scott Sanders has worked on this and has assembled a strong team of committed leaders who are taking us on this journey. On my current trip to India, Brian Lichtle Justin Kuss and I had the opportunity to walk current and future leaders through the system and operating model we have built to help us thrive in an AI-enabled future, enhancing human intelligence (HI) and preserving what is inherently human.

We are thrilled to announce the completion of a successful first year at the Foundry for AI by Rackspace (FAIR™)™. During the past year, we engaged in over 45+ AI projects with customers from diverse sectors including banking, insurance, healthcare, retail, and technology across the globe. Our team’s dedication and innovative spirit have driven remarkable achievements, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Over the past two weeks, we conducted a comprehensive retrospective to reflect on our performance and extract valuable lessons.
