Stephanie Ogren

VP of Science and Education at Grand Rapids Public Museum

Stephanie Ogren is an accomplished professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in biology and aquatic sciences. She holds a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Aquatic Sciences from Central Michigan University, as well as a PhD in Restoration Ecology from Michigan Technological University. Stephanie's career journey includes 15 years as a Senior Aquatic Biologist for a Native American Tribe, where she focused on developing water quality programs and working with threatened species. Her passion for translating scientific knowledge for the public led her back to the Grand Rapids Public Museum, where she played a vital role in creating an exhibit that explores the historical journey of Lake Sturgeon. Currently, Stephanie serves as the Vice President of Science and Education at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, where she dedicates her efforts to developing engaging programming, outreach initiatives, and exhibits to share relevant scientific information and experiences with the community.
