We lost a great human being yesterday Susan Wojcicki. Very few women have risen to be CEO of company like YouTube with massive global impact and still maintain humility and their values. She truly cared about making the world a better place.
She was kind enough to share an office when I first joined Google. She was one of the wisest and most strategic leaders that I worked with at Google. She was an inspiration to so many people and yet so incredibly humble and down to earth. As a mother of 5 she lead the way for women to have careers and strong family lives, not compromising on prioritizing life’s precious moments.
Susan was giving, wise, kind, visionary, humble, a great supporter of women, devoted to her family, and a force of nature at helping build Google and then as CEO of YouTube. She fought for women’s equality and parental leave by leading by example and pushing for policy changes that impacted so many of us.
We will miss you deeply. Sending healing prayers to her family as they navigate this soul crushing loss - Dennis Troper Anne Wojcicki Esther Wojcicki Susan is now reunited with her son Marco ❤️
Here is the WSJ article summarizing Susan’s extraordinary impact.
