I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Six Sigma Green Belt! This milestone is not just a testament to my commitment to continuous learning but also a reflection of my deep-rooted passion for process improvement and problem-solving. 🔄 The Journey: My journey with Six Sigma began 13 years ago when I had the incredible opportunity to work closely with a Green Belt. Since then, I've had the privilege of collaborating with numerous Six Sigma Black Belts, each experience enriching my understanding and appreciation for the power of structured problem-solving and quality improvement.

Yesterday, I took a break from the hectic nature of life and ventured into the beauty of Talapus and Olallie Lakes in Snoqualmie Pass, WA. As I walked through the lush greenery, I couldn't help but feel a much needed sense of calm wash over me. 🌲🏞️
A recent study titled 'Nature and Mental Health: An Ecosystem Service Perspective' (Soga et al., 2023) reveals that exposure to nature can significantly improve our mental wellbeing. It helps me feel grounded and reminds me that there is so much more to our world than the office or our homes.
The study explains that walking in nature, away from the stresses of our daily lives, can help reduce anxiety, enhance mood, and even improve cognitive function. This is attributed to the 'restorative' quality of nature, which allows our minds to reset and rejuvenate.
The next time you're feeling overwhelmed, remember to step outside and take a walk in nature. It's not just a pleasant experience, but a scientifically proven method to boost your mental health.
