What an insightful event! Thank you to the Biotechnology Innovation Organization for the opportunity to speak about #BeginNGS and our mission to screen infants early before they show symptoms of a genetic disease. With certain diseases, this screening can help prevent missed opportunities for treatment, long, painful diagnostic odysseys, and potentially irreversible organ damage.

Thank you to everyone who discussed BeginNGS with me after my presentation, and if we didn't get a chance to connect at #BIO2024, please reach out with any questions or interest in collaborating.

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Kee Chan, PhD, MBA, Founder of ValueMinded, and Denise Kay from the New York State Department of Health in a #NewbornScreening panel session at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

We explored the opportunities for research infrastructure to inform NBS programs, how to build support for these programs, and the lessons we’ve learned from coordinating research initiatives with public health newborn screening.

Thank you to the panelists and everyone who contributed to our engaging discussion.
