Highlights
Having worked in the smart metering space in the UK I was always keen to see the consumer benefits of rolling out the technology stretch beyond the initial positives such as automated meter readings and more end user visibility of energy usage. Nice to see that the leveraging of half hourly consumption data is now allowing some customers to avail of time of use tariffs and benefit directly from the negative wholesale prices that are prevalent at the moment. Will be interesting to watch how the space develops further.
A quick look at some events driving energy price movements so far in 2020. Thanks to Joseph Collins for input. #energytrading #ctrm #etrm
