Stephen Tarzia is a versatile professional with a strong background in Computer Engineering, holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Northwestern University and a BS from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Currently, Stephen serves as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in CS, Director of MS Programs in CE and EE at Northwestern University. His previous roles include Assistant Department Chair and Lecturer at Northwestern University, Sr. Computational Research Consultant at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, and Professional Fellow at Knight Lab at Northwestern University.

Stephen also has diverse industry experience, having held positions such as Founder at National Gun Violence Memorial, VP of Engineering at FastModel Sports, President at Pumpkin Box LLC, and VP and General Manager of Consumer Products at VaporStream, Inc. Additionally, he has held various technical roles at Signal (formerly BrightTag) and VaporStream, Inc., including Software Engineer and VP of Engineering.

During his career, Stephen has contributed to the field of Computer Engineering through his work as a Dr. John N Nicholson Fellow, Graduate Research Assistant, and Walter P. Murphy Fellow at Northwestern University, as well as a Solutions Engineer at Emergent Communications.
