Steve Ferreira is the CEO and Founder of Beyond Disabilities, a nonprofit organization he established in November 2011.12 Born with cerebral palsy, Steve is a motivational speaker, TEDx speaker, and keynote speaker who aims to raise disability awareness and inspire communities.1
Steve's mission through Beyond Disabilities is to inform individuals and communities worldwide that people with disabilities are capable of many accomplishments and are "just like everyone else...just living life in a different way".23 He has spoken over 1,000 times at various venues, including regional high schools, colleges, churches, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, and graduations.2
As an accomplished athlete, Steve has won multiple medals for Team USA.3 In 2022, he received a Certification for Accessible Studies from Central Washington University, enabling him to work as an ADA consultant.3 He also delivered a TEDx Talk at Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara, California, in the same year.3
