Highlights
First off, last day of voting for my proposal Global EIR to make the SBA's Innovation Summit. Without enough votes, the panel will be dropped from the agenda. Voting literally takes like 15 seconds. I put the link to vote in the comments.
Second, Global Detroit's first Bay Area event is next Thursday, September 5 at Wefunder in the Mission (5:30-7:30). Free drinks (I think) and food, but more importantly hear from Ayush A. K. Agarwal about how Global EIR helped in his startup journey in launching Pencil Technologies, an amazing software now in some of our nation's largest school districts. Please direct all those interested in immigrant startups, immigrant-inclusive economic development, etc. in the Bay Area to attend. California is about to launch their own Global EIR program and folks won't want to miss this event. The RSVP to this event also will appear in the comments below.
It's election season and I need your vote! Global EIR programs are launching all across America (CA, NJ, NY, MA, MI and WA, DC). It's time to blow the roof on innovation and make sure that America provides a pathway to immigrant startup founders. To build awareness I've submitted a session proposal to the U.S. Small Business Administration's Innovation Ecosystem Summit. The Global EIR session is a finalist, but needs your vote by next Friday.
