Well not sure if I should post this or not but feeling quite upset by the handling of this matter. I was made redundant at the end of March 22 after 34 years service with #babcock. During my 28 consultation with my manager and HR department I asked the question regarding my bonus payment, would I still be entitled to this after leaving at the end of March should performance criteria be achived. The answer was yes HR had already checked.
This is normally paid if targets are achieved in July! I hadn’t heard anything so contacted my Manager and was informed the decision was delayed until August as the accounts hadn’t been signed off!
I have now received an email from my Manager to say I won’t be getting my bonus as it’s a discretionary award and this was the decision of the award panel!
I have always achieved and exceeded my targets and feel very let down after all my years service and feel the only reason Babcock are not honouring my payment is because I have left the business. I have spoken to colleagues still working there who have confirmed they have received their bonuses so feel l’m being discriminated against.
#babcock Please review your own values and live by them, one being #Integrity do the right thing before I seek professional advise to resolve this matter.
