Artistic Director Henley Festival

Stewart Collins is a seasoned arts professional with extensive experience in programming mixed-arts festivals worldwide.

Collins has served as the Artistic Director of various prominent festivals, including the Henley Festival in the UK, where he programmed 28 editions.

His diverse skill set includes singing, scripting, and introducing orchestral concerts, interviewing writers and celebrities, and writing productions for the stage.

Collins has also devised special events such as the Tree of Light for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad and commissioned over 100 new pieces of work across various art forms.

He has a knack for creating unique boutique classical events in picturesque locations, as seen in the Amy Dickson Invites project.

Furthermore, Collins ventured into 'vision mixing' by directing and styling streamed concerts for the 2020 Petworth Festival Autumn Special, featuring renowned artists like Sheku & Isata Kanneh-Mason and Milos.

His international work includes projects in Barbados, China (2010 Shanghai Expo), and Russia (2014 Anglo-Russian festival) in collaboration with organizations like the British Council.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Collins has received awards such as BAFA's Outstanding Contribution to British Arts Festivals and the Headliner of the Year Award at the British Festival Awards for booking Elton John in 2016.

Beyond his festival roles, Collins is actively involved in advising organizations like the Arts Council, PRS Foundation, and the British Academy of Songwriters and Composers, and mentors young performers and arts professionals.

He holds a Master's degree in History and Economics from the University of Cambridge and completed his education at Queen Elizabeth School in Barnet.
