Susan Hwang is an accomplished professional with a rich academic background and extensive experience in fundraising, development, and philanthropy.

She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in English major with a minor in French from Scripps College.

Susan has held various significant roles in organizations, including her current position as the US Philanthropy Manager at ClientEarth.

Her previous experiences include serving as the Major Gifts Officer at Marketplace by APM, the Director of Development at the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and the Manager of Individual Philanthropy and Outreach at mothers2mothers.

Prior to her current role, Susan has also worked as the Associate Director of Development at the School of the Arts and Architecture at UCLA, the Associate Director of Development in Los Angeles at Facing History and Ourselves, the Membership Manager at the Japanese American National Museum, and the Development Coordinator at the 18th Street Arts Center.

Additionally, she has interned at the National Endowment for the Arts as an APAICS Intern and at the Huntington Library as a Getty Intern.
