I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as RF/Microwave Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory!

After nearly 11 years of TU Delft, it was time for me to finally close that chapter and move to a very exciting new one!

On Monday, July 13th I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation and propositions, with cum laude. During this work, my colleagues and I focused on developing low-cost THz imaging cameras that, for example, can be used as car-sensors for the detection of pedestrians in foggy weather conditions. I want to thank you once more Satoshi Malotaux and Carmine de Martino for the amazing collaboration we had, as well as Prof. Nuria Llombart, Prof. Andrea Neto, and Dr. Marco Spirito for the great supervision!

Now, not even two months later, Elske and I are finding ourselves on the other side of the world to start another amazing chapter together. I have been awarded a NASA Postdoctoral Fellowship at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, where I will conduct research on the development of submillimeter-wave sensors that are being used for the remote sensing of the earth and other planetary bodies!

I would like to thank everyone I worked with at the TU Delft for the amazing times I had in the past 11 years and I am looking forward to develop myself, personally and professionally, during this new experience!
