Highlights
Every time I coach founders on their pitch decks, I always emphasize the importance of including a Go-to-Market (GTM) slide. It's often missed and can leave judges or investors unsure about how you'll introduce your product or service to your target customers and convert and retain their business. I've even won pitches by being the only one to include those details. Many pitches focus on what the product is, who it's for, the market, and how much they'll charge, often with some projections, but they frequently overlook sharing the customer acquisition plan.
I watch them pitch and it's left off the deck!! I am starting the think, most really don't know how they will introduce their product to their target and convert & retain them. How they can create a flywheel (a growth framework) strategy that allows the product to attract and retain customers to create user growth & cashflow.
A great GTM Slide should convey: Resource efficiency, specific target audience & competitive advantage as well as a way to continuous revenue.
