Taifur Rahman

Taifur Rahman is a highly experienced professional with an extensive background in advocacy, grants management, and program leadership.

He holds a degree in Economics from Dhaka University and has completed his education at prestigious institutions such as Notre Dame College and T&T High School in Dhaka.

Currently, Taifur serves as the Manager of the Advocacy and Grants Programme at the Global Road Safety Partnership within the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

Prior to his current role, he held the position of Senior Officer of Advocacy at the Global Road Safety Partnership within IFRC.

Taifur has also worked as the Director of the Bangladesh Program at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and as the Advocacy and Media Coordinator for Bangladesh at the same organization.

His vast experience includes positions such as Chairman of the Board and Team Leader at PROGGA, Lesson Learning and Advocacy Specialist at Shiree (DFID), Chief of Program and Research at Unnayan Shamannay, and Research Fellow at Unnayan Shamannay.

Furthermore, Taifur has contributed his expertise as a Junior Consultant at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and as a Publication and Documentation Coordinator at Concern Worldwide.

His diverse roles have equipped him with a comprehensive skill set in advocacy, media coordination, program management, research, and documentation.
