🚀 It's a tough job market out there, but good news—people in my network are hiring! 🙌 Here are two amazing opportunities where you'd be working with some fantastic hiring managers (people in my network 😄):
- Director of Data Engineering and Analytics, Xometry: Work with the incredible Emad Khazraee, my former coworker. 💼
- Staff Product Manager-Data Scientist, ServiceNow: Collaborate with my fellow Modal advisory board member Haleh Tabrizi 🌟
If you find this helpful, could I ask for a small favor? I'm eager to learn about new technologies, broaden my network and connect with more people, especially:
- Those in the GenAI space, working with small and large language models— especially those in need of data or evaluation help. 🤖
- People working on space tech or hard tech projects. 🌌
- People in Central or Southern Florida (hello Orlando, hello Miami!) ☀️
Do you know anyone in these areas? I’d love to connect! Thanks a ton! 🙏
🔍 Is AI the new data analyst? Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of moderating an insightful discussion with Onkar D., Emad Khazraee, Alejandra Vergara, and Rahul Bali on how GenAI is reshaping the future of data analytics. Our main question: Is AI replacing data analysts and scientists? 🤔
Our panel brought together diverse perspectives: Onkar, Emad, and I, as data practitioners, grapple with the daily challenges of harnessing data; Alejandra, as a VC, invests in the next wave of innovations; and Rahul is reimagining new tools with his startup. Here is a summary of our discussion:
🚀 Transforming data teams: No doubt, AI is enhancing data analytics by taking over many routine tasks, allowing data scientists to focus on strategic business questions. Just as advanced tools made software engineers more strategic, GenAI empowers data scientists to dive deeper into business insights while AI handles the heavy lifting.
🌐 Bridging tech and business: GenAI tools enable non-technical users to quickly and accurately uncover insights, unlocking new opportunities for innovation.
💡 GenAI applications: We've tested a few GenAI applications, such as SQL code generation, chat with data app etc. GenAI can augment analysts in their current role, and create powerful new tools for advanced analysis. This is just the beginning, with more use cases on the horizon.
🔍 Data quality matters: As Rahul pointed out, and as I’ve seen firsthand implementing GenAI solutions, data governance is more critical than ever in the age of AI. The old adage 'garbage in, garbage out' is even more relevant in the GenAI world.
✨ Other observations:
Lifelong learning will be essential for data professionals. 📚 Experimentation is the best way to discover GenAI. 🔬 Collaboration will be at the heart of future data analytics. 🤝 Our full video is https://lnkd.in/gAR5xfax (start right at Emad's introduction) Special thanks to the Xoogler.co community for facilitating this conversation.
