It’s been pure joy to partner with the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust to train remarkable nonprofit leaders on the power of story. These leaders are doing such strategic work to improve the education, justice and well-being of their fellow South Africans.

They are my heroes. And wow, they have incredible stories to share. It was so fun to see them explore their own leadership stories more deeply as well as be emboldened to engage others in their stories.

One of the big ideas we talked about in the workshops is the neuroscience of story & how it can be a force for healing and growth. When we truly feel seen and heard, it actually changes our phisiology. I never ceased to be amazed by this!

Thanks again for the great OMT team and all nonprofits they invest in. You inspire!

Such a fabulous end to the African Philanthropy Confernce. So many great stories being lived out by the brilliant leaders here!

A highlight was attending the panel on Period Poverty and hearing about the compelling work of CouldYou? With the menstrual cup that serves women for 10 years. I loved hearing how the panelists framed the issue—period dignity isn’t a charity issue, it’s a JUSTICE cause.

So inspired by my dear friend and the amazing leader Christine Garde Denning.
