Tammy Eger

Vice President Research at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne

Dr. Tammy Eger is a prominent figure in the field of Occupational Biomechanics, with over 20 years of experience in applied research focusing on areas such as vibration reduction, fatigue management, and musculoskeletal injury prevention. She has co-founded the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health and played a key role in the development of Ontario's first mobile research lab for Occupational Health and Safety.

Tammy is a strong advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion and believes that diverse teams lead to more innovative research outcomes. She is currently enrolled in an international leadership program for women in STEM fields and holds a Master's and Doctoral degree in Occupational Biomechanics from Queen's University. Her research endeavors are supported by prestigious organizations like the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, Canadian Foundation for Innovation, and the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Throughout her career, Tammy Eger has held various roles at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne, including Vice President Research, Full Professor, Interim Vice-President of Research, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Prior to her tenure at the university, she worked as an Ergonomist at the Mines and Aggregates Safety and Health Association. With a solid educational background and extensive experience in academia and research, Dr. Eger continues to make significant contributions to the fields of occupational safety and health.
