As the founding director of St. Paul's GreenHouse, a social impact incubator hosted within St. Paul's University College at the University of Waterloo, Tania has expertly guided students in launching projects and startups that seek to address critical social and environmental challenges. Her leadership ensures that the incubator's programs and partnerships align seamlessly with the University of Waterloo's commitment to being recognized as a uniquely entrepreneurial institution. This commitment centers on leveraging technology and social innovation to foster impactful solutions that enhance economic growth and improve the human condition.
Before her instrumental role at GreenHouse, Tania co-founded and served as the Executive Director of My Sustainable Canada, a social venture that empowers organizations to make purchasing decisions that drive substantial social change. Under her guidance, the organization developed operations that not only focused on sustainability but also championed social equity and economic advancement.
Tania's earlier career experiences include serving as a Project Manager and Researcher at the Canadian Centre for Pollution Prevention, where she focused on habitat protection and pollution reduction strategies. She also held the position of Policy Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, contributing her expertise to critical initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural sustainability and environmental stewardship. Her tenure as an Environmental Projects Coordinator with the Department of National Defence further solidified her competence in managing environmentally focused initiatives within complex organizations.
