Can family work together? Having seen family business destroy many families I'm hesitant to recommend it. The level of intentionality, respect, and communication has to be ten-fold in order to elevate the risk/reward factor. But when it's done well, it's magical. I appreciate how Sunil and Anil, cofounders of Meter demonstrate the little actions that matter. Humility, appreciation, and honour show themselves more heavily in a well-run family business. Anil's insistence on naming his brother first and their combined elation at having always been a team makes it obvious that they recognize and revere each other and their connection. Yes, family can work together, especially when the cofounders put as much effort in teamwork and respect as they do in building a great product.
