Highlights
Kicking off #IWD2023 with a bang by speaking at Meta International Womens Day event, on their creator panel alongside Adesayo Talabi and Lucy Edwards, hosted by my fave Lauren Whilby ...
It's not often my worlds as a content creator and non-profit founder are able to co-exist, so It was incredible to be invited by Meta to offer my insights and expertise on creating, curating and documenting communities, social impact and purpose in front of a room FULL of women and people from some of the biggest brands, agencies and organisations across the UK.
It was an honour to equally sit on a event programme alongside the likes of Jill Scott Hind Hassan Nicola Mendelsohn CBE Claudia Winkelman and of course Beverley Knight who sang the event out.
Thank you again to everyone who came up post event and shared so many kind words about our talk, It was such a great way to kick off not only this IWD but also hopefully a year full of more opportunities for collaboration and change!

In 2019, I created an event called #QueerBlackChristmas and every year since my organisation Exist Loudly and I have recreated a safe, loving and welcoming Christmas for Black LGBTQ+ young people from London who are experiencing homelessness, estranged from family or living in hostile family homes.
This isn't just a Christmas party, but a safe space for Black LGBTQ+ youth to bring their full selves to the dinner table. A space for our youth to feel celebrated and seen for who they are, without having to minimise or hide parts of their identity in exchange for safety.
Queer Black Christmas is a lifeline and a reminder of the power of chosen family and community. The video will give you a glimpse of what we got up to last year!
