National Manager, Government Relations at Australian Red Cross

Tara Gutman is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in leadership, law, government relations, and academia.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws - LLB, Arts degree specializing in Asian Studies, Japanese, Politics, and Philosophy from UNSW, and completion of the Excellence in Leadership Program at the University of Melbourne.

Over the course of her career, Tara has held key positions such as the National Manager of Government Relations at the Australian Red Cross, Chairman of the Board at Companion House, and Senior Adviser in Crisis Management at the Australian Red Cross.

Tara has also contributed her expertise as a Legal Advisor in Government Engagement at the Australian Red Cross, a Visiting Scholar at The George Washington University Law School, and a Doctoral Candidate at the Australian National University.

Her experience extends to international organizations, having served as a Visiting Professional at the International Criminal Court, a Consultant at the United Nations Development Project, and a University Lecturer at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Prior to these roles, Tara Gutman honed her legal skills as a Solicitor at Gray & Perkins Lawyers (now Clarke Kann) and King & Wood Mallesons, and gained valuable experience in business and legal affairs as an Executive at Beyond International Group.

She also provided legal consultation to the Royal Government of Cambodia in the past, showcasing her versatility and adaptability across different sectors and regions.
