Tatiana Gelfand is a playwright and theater director with over 15 years of experience directing theater in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.3 She is the Executive Artistic Director at Tiger Belly Productions, a company dedicated to producing theater, film, and performing events in New York, San Francisco, and the surrounding Bay Area.1

Gelfand trained under the internationally celebrated Carlo Magaletti, assisting on productions such as "Wunder[bar]" in Munich, Germany, and the Off-Broadway production "Let's Speak Tango!".12 In San Francisco, she directed several plays including "No Exit" at the Mojo Theater and "The Eighth Circle" at the Playwrights Center of San Francisco.1

As a filmmaker, Gelfand directed the short film "Drawback" and is currently working on a new documentary titled "Through Red Windows".1 In 2020, she co-wrote and directed "Scotch and Madness," an expressionist drama that premiered at the Alleyway Theatre in Buffalo, NY.14

Gelfand also created, developed, and co-authored "Girls Who Walked on Glass," an immersive theater production based on real interviews with women, addressing topics such as rape, HIV, and domestic violence.1 In February 2022, she was invited to co-produce "My, The People," a documentary multimedia play promoting international dialogues on peace, in response to increased tensions between Russia and Ukraine.1
