Highlights
Just over a week ago, I received my MBA. This post is a bit delayed because I took some time to celebrate with my family in beautiful Hawaii 🌺.
Fifteen months ago, I embarked on a journey that has profoundly transformed my life. After many years, I made the decision to return to school and pursue my MBA. But this wasn't just any executive program—I chose Pepperdine's Presidents & Key Executives (PKE) program. Like many of you, I hadn’t heard of it before. It wasn’t until Pearl Quintana reached out to me, sharing how unique this program was, that I considered it. To be honest, I had my doubts. Yet, looking at where I stand today compared to where I began, the transformation is nothing short of remarkable.
This program didn’t just equip me with the tools and skills I was eager to learn; it forged connections that will last a lifetime, and for that, I am forever grateful to Pepperdine. Our cohort, though small—just nine of us—created an impact on each other's lives that none of us could have anticipated. During our closing session, as we reflected on our journey together, we truly realized and appreciated the incredible accomplishments we achieved as a group. Miriam Lacey, Ph.D., our organizational behavior professor, concluded our session with two poignant points of reflection:
"Pride in achievement" and "Emotional connection & closure."
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have gone through this program with the support of my colleagues and mentors, Jeff Moriarty and Emily Smith, (and many more at Nexstar Media Group, Inc.). I am also thankful to have met such inspiring leaders, not only within my cohort but also in our invaluable advisor, Cesar Landeros, DSc, MBA, and our professors, Daniel André Langer, Abraham Park, Stephanie Blondell, J.D., Miriam Lacey, Ph.D., Dr. Kurt Motamedi, and Dr. Demos Vardiabasis, PhD. Most of all, I am eternally thankful to my partner in life and everything, Chris Duplex.
I am proud to be a Pepperdine alum and even more honored to be part of the PKE family, ready to embrace my future "today, not tomorrow."

Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting a fireside chat with Mike Biard, the President and COO of Nexstar Media Group, Inc., for our Women's ERG.
Having been with Nexstar for nearly a year, Mike shared invaluable insights on various topics, including career leadership and his vision for the company's future.
A particularly memorable moment was when Mike quoted one of France’s most renowned and enlightened authors, Voltaire:
✨ “No problem can stand the assault of sustained thinking.” ✨
