Tej Mettho studied at Methodist Ladies' College, where he completed his Victorian Certificate of Education, High School/Secondary Diplomas, and Certificates. He then pursued his passion for medicine at Monash University, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Additionally, he also achieved a Bachelor of Medical Science with a focus on Anaesthetic Research, earning an impressive H2A distinction.

With an unwavering commitment to the field of medicine, Tej Mettho has held pivotal roles in prominent healthcare institutions. He served as an Anaesthesia Fellow at Austin Health, showcasing his expertise in anesthesia. Prior to this role, he gained invaluable experience as an Anaesthetics Registrar at Alfred Health and as an Anaesthetics and ICU Registrar at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Throughout his career journey, Tej Mettho has demonstrated versatility by serving in different capacities. He has worked as an Emergency Resident at Western Health, imparted knowledge as a Simulation Centre Tutor at Southern Health, and provided medical services as a Locum House Medical Officer at Charterhouse Medical. Furthermore, he has shared his expertise as a House Medical Officer at Royal Melbourne Hospital and commenced his medical career as an Intern at Southern Health.
