Highlights
60 days into Retirement … crazy time to retire with the virus crisis, falling economy and social distress. Miss the pace of working, my co-workers at Millennium and our clients. Yet, I have enjoyed traveling with my wife on short 1-2 day trips to places like Field of Dreams, Springfield Illinois (Lincoln historical stuff), Traverse City, New Buffalo, etc. Read a number of books (favorite was Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson) and watched a ton of interesting documentaries. Lots of walking and some bike riding until I had shoulder surgery. Shoulder surgery is NO fun! Lost 20 lbs so far with exercise and eating better. Made an offer on a second home on Lake Michigan in Indiana. We’ll see what happens this week. Glad that Millennium made the necessary adjustments to working from home so well and continues to expand their offerings for its clients. Miss Millennium Trust Company - great firm. Happy July 4th!
The day is here - I am readying for retirement on April 1st. No, not an April fools day joke.
I have enjoyed a wonderful career… 40 plus years working in the financial services and retirement industries. I will remember all of the wonderful people I met and the travel to hundreds of cities and 7 other countries. Who said work isn’t fun?! I especially enjoyed writing and publishing articles as Managing Director of Retirement Services at Millennium...please see my last article, just published on Successful Companies by 401K Specialist.
