I recently had the opportunity to join Ted Vaughn on the Future Non-Profit podcast. If you take a listen you'll hear about my parents and the decisions they made while I was a child that shaped me and provided a guiding vision for my life.    You'll also hear about my work with International Justice Mission and our efforts to bring justice, to vulnerable people. You'll hear how we focus on creating a big table of diverse people and platforms via partnership. How we focus on finding something we can all agree on - that families should not be trafficked and that children should not live in fear of violence.    You'll also hear about some special partnerships the incredible team, I work with here, has produced. From the Super Bowl, to workplace engagements I had a blast sharing the stories of all that they've led and accomplished.

I've had the privilege of working on building the Dressember campaign for IJM. And this campaign has raised over $18M to help end modern-day slavery, all through a super simple strategy. Have folks wear a dress or tie every day in December and raise money from their friends, family, and colleagues to end slavery. This year I am running my own campaign and asking my friends, family, and colleagues to support me.

Why support you may ask? Well, I'll give you my why. Why I do this work, why it matters to me. The why that drives me day in and day out, both professionally and personally.

Sure, I could talk about the fact that over 50M are still enslaved today, or that 1 in 4 are children, or that it’s a $150B industry.

But for me - the most shocking, the craziest thing that drives me.

It still exists.

Think about that for a moment. People are still treated as property. Let that soak in.

Slavery still exists.

When you donate, you help end that. You fund the rescue, the aftercare, and the survivor empowerment worldwide. And you fund the programs equipping governments to keep people safe from it ever happening in the first place.

This is a generational type change. #untilallarefree
