Theo Coulombe is a dedicated and passionate photographer with a rich history in the art of photography.

Having a love for photography since childhood, starting with making super 8 movies with friends, Theo's journey has been filled with a deep appreciation for capturing moments through the lens.

Throughout his life, Theo has carried his trusty SLRs, documenting his experiences from high school to hitchhiking across America, engaging in various jobs and adventures.

After an incident where he fell from a roof, Theo realized the true value of his camera and honed his skills in observing the world around him, focusing on the process of observation, visualization, color, reflectance, perception of texture, and the history of photography.

Theo Coulombe is not just a photographer; he is a photographic educator, consultant, historian, curator, and an artist who utilizes photography as a powerful medium for expression.

His dedication to the craft led him to establish BROOKLYNPHOTO STUDIO, LTD., where he continues to create captivating visual stories.

Theo pursued his education in photography, earning a Master's degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA from the University of The Arts, enriching his knowledge and skills in the field.

Additionally, Theo has been involved in various roles within the photography industry, including serving as the Director and Curator at Standard Space Gallery and working as a Photographer at THEO COULOMBE PHOTOGRAPHY.

He has also owned and worked at Brooklynphoto Studio, LTD., and contributed his expertise as a Principle Photographer at RR Donnelley / Studio W26.

Furthermore, Theo has shared his passion for photography as a Teacher of Photography at The New School University, inspiring others to explore the art form.

With a diverse background encompassing education, artistic creation, curation, and consultancy, Theo Coulombe continues to make a significant impact in the world of photography.
