She has worked in various roles at Vale, including as a Senior Mine Engineer focusing on Mine Design projects for multiple mines.

Theresa is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in mining through initiatives like Women in Science & Engineering.

She has co-authored articles on career satisfaction for women in mining and mentorship initiatives in the Canadian mining sector.

Ms. Nyabeze has a passion for integrating immigrant talent and underrepresented groups into the mining industry.

She authored a Children's book, 'Underground! My Mining Adventure,' to educate youth about mining and dispel myths surrounding the industry.

Theresa received the 40 Under Forty Award for her community contributions and currently co-chairs the Mining Engagement Conference for Advancement.

She was appointed as the co-Chair of CIM's Diversity and Inclusion Committee to influence policies within CIM and the mining industry overall.

Theresa studied Mining Engineering and pursued a Master's in Business Administration at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne.
