Therese Brinke

Experiential learner, innovator and strategist with a mission to challenge ageism and redefine aging.

Therese Ten Brinke is a passionate advocate dedicated to understanding aging and promoting living well with cognitive change. Her focus is on changing the narrative around aging and combating agesim. She draws inspiration from elders, striving to lead a purposeful life and create inclusive communities for all ages and abilities.

Therese holds a Master's of Science degree in Gerontology from California State University-Sacramento, a Leadership Development certification from LeadingAge CA (EMERGE), and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from the University of California, Davis.

With a diverse professional background, Therese has served in various roles at Eskaton, including as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. She has also been involved with California State University-Sacramento as an Adjunct Professor. Her experience includes positions such as Project Coordinator, Planning Associate, Volunteer Coordinator, Life Enrichment Assistant, and more at Eskaton and Kindred Healthcare.

Driven by her belief in a future without agesim, Therese works towards designing intentional, supportive communities and services that cater to individuals irrespective of age or abilities.
