Highlights
Today, I was reminded of the magic of pen and paper. As I sat down with a sketch pad for the first time in ages, I was struck by the pure simplicity of these tools and the direct connection they provide to an idea or thought. It's not about technical ability, but rather setting yourself free from worrying about the quality of your line or the flow of your lettering. This allows for a clearer path for the idea to come to life.
The process of iterating an idea with just pen and paper is also incredibly rewarding. Each iteration opens up new paths that you hadn't thought of before, allowing exploration without a preset endpoint.
We often rely on digital tools, but every once in a while, simplifying the tool can surprise you with what you can do. And, I believe it will make you even better at utilizing the digital tools we have as well.
We need to allow our selves to try, and fail. It can be good to miss the target, as you might just discover a whole other world around it.
How time flies... It has been another year with both ups and downs, new wars and innovative progress. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind the world slowing down just a little bit. We have had a very busy year, and I am so proud with the great progress we have made together with our partners and collaborators, setting us up for bang of a year in 2024. It's going to be one for the books ;-)
