A lot of great things have happened.

On May 13th our inaugural event, The Catalyst, welcomed more than 200 people to The Old San Francisco Mint and raised close to $700,000 in cash and pledges.

We give great gratitude to our Board of Directors for their leadership and in particular to Jordan Langer and his team at Non Plus Ultra for producing an unforgettable, inspiring evening to grow the network of supporters of The Affordability Project's mission. Also, thank you to Jenny McAllister Isenberg and her team a 13th Floor for developing a special, immersive experience which walked people through San Francisco's history and highlighted the workforce and artists who are the connective tissue for San Francisco's community.

At the event, we premiered The Affordability Project's mission video. Visit our website and view the video. (https://lnkd.in/gUtcEXNx) Thank you, Matthew Mourgides for helping tell The Affordability Project's story through film.

Thank you to our Advisory Board Member, Joi Jackson-Morgan, MPH, Executive Director of 3rd Street Youth Center and Clinic for her support, partnership and leadership in the conversation around the importance of investing in San Francisco's essential workforce community.

What's next--We are almost there!

We are in the final fundraising stage to fill the gap necessary to begin construction. We began the campaign to raise $12 million in March 2022. In the last 26 months we've secured $8.5 million. With $3.5 million left to raise, we are grateful for all of the support and the momentum for The Affordability Project's mission.

Together, we are broadening and deepening the network of support for our mission. Together, we champion, support and serve the awesome teachers, healthcare workers, makers, restaurants, nonprofit workers, small business owners, artists, and creative members of the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood and beyond.

Great things are ahead--Onward we go!

This event will raise the necessary funds and awareness to build affordable housing for the people who ensure our civic and economic viability.

We've come so far in a short period of time because of the many mission-aligned partnerships founded in the commitment to our workforce and giving them a chance to call the city they serve home. Thank you to everyone who is part of this important mission.
