We started raising Curated in late ‘21 with a view to build a world-class collection during the upcoming bear market.

As we prepare to enter the next bull market, we’re excited to share an update that we ultimately raised $50M and are mostly deployed.

Here’s what’s next 👇

Curated is backed by 150+ LPs that include top tier crypto founders, collectors, artists, and investors. Recent additions include legendary artists Beeple and Snowfro.

We built the majority of the collection through the depths of the bear market with a focus on generative art, CryptoPunks, and 1/1 art. Our curation was around high conviction collections/artists with a skew towards aesthetics, all while being price sensitive.

To showcase the collection with the best experience, we built our own gallery tool (explore.curated.xyz). It includes commentary from the artists and ourselves. We’ll continue to improve the experience and add more pieces from our collection.

We’ve also started sharing our thinking on collections and artists through long-form editorials (curated.xyz/editorial). We’ll continue to write these given how well they’ve been received so far.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working to onboard our LPs into digital art through LP updates, private conversations with artists, and prints of works from the collection.

We want to continue being exceptional stewards over the next decade for the works we’ve collected while generating returns for our investors. That means you’ll see us sell works as well as acquire more from artists/collections we’re excited about.

Our conviction around digital art has never been higher. We’re watching museums, traditional art collectors, ultra high net worth individuals, and new funds become sizable collectors. It’s all happening right now and you can see it if you know where to look.

Onwards 🚀
