Dr. Tom Bongiorno is an accomplished professional with a strong educational background and diverse experience in bioengineering, management, and mechanical engineering. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering, a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Bongiorno also completed a Graduate Certificate in Management of Technology and pursued International Studies.

Dr. Bongiorno has held various positions in prestigious organizations, showcasing his expertise and versatility. He has worked as a Field Application Scientist at Corning Incorporated, a Bioprocess Scientist at Lonza, and an R&D Project Manager & Stem Cell Scientist at X-Therma Inc. He also gained valuable experience as a Life Sciences Consulting Intern at Acsel Health and as a Business Development Intern at Kimberly-Clark. Furthermore, Dr. Bongiorno co-founded BioIgnite, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit.

During his academic journey, Dr. Bongiorno contributed significantly as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology and participated in the Senior Design Course at the University of Notre Dame. He also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Notre Dame and engaged in research roles at various institutions, including the University of Western Australia.
