Tom Kemp is a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur, seed investor, policy advisor, and author. He is the Managing Director of Kemp Au Ventures, an angel investment firm where he invests in early-stage tech companies, focusing on cybersecurity, privacy, and AI. Kemp has funded over 15 startups, including Numero, and actively supports entrepreneurs in company formation stages.123

Previously, Kemp co-founded and served as CEO of Centrify, a leading cybersecurity company that achieved over $100 million in annual revenue and served major enterprises. Under his leadership, Centrify was acquired by Thoma Bravo in 2018. He also played a role in spinning out Idaptive from Centrify, which was later acquired by CyberArk.2

Kemp is also known for his policy work. He has contributed to privacy legislation such as the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and the California Delete Act. Additionally, he authored Containing Big Tech: How to Protect Our Civil Rights, Economy, and Democracy, which examines the challenges posed by Big Tech and offers solutions to address them.123
