Sharing some bittersweet – and some exciting – news here. I will be wrapping up my time at DoorDash at the end of this month. I joined DoorDash during the early onset of Covid-19 shutdowns in 2020, which was an incredibly difficult time for restaurants. I’m really proud of the efforts we made during that period to help restaurants come online and prove that we could enable delivery in a safe and effective manner. Over the past 4 years, we have not only  massively accelerated growth and the portfolio of products available to restaurants, we have opened up the same opportunities for growth to more than 150,000 grocery, convenience and retail stores.

DoorDash is still in the early chapters in terms of achieving its mission to grow and empower local economies, and I couldn’t be more confident in the company’s leadership and the strong Merchant team that I know will continue to operate with customer-obsession and an unwavering commitment to realize the mission.

I’ve dedicated my career to tackling complex societal challenges through a combination of technology and human touch, whether it be growing and empowering local economies or building new ways for people to share their voices at scale.

With this, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be joining Headspace as the company’s new CEO starting August 12th. Headspace’s mission is to ensure every person around the world has access to lifelong mental health support. I couldn’t think of a more critical challenge to address. I’m eager to join Headspace’s talented team, ranging from mental healthcare providers, to world-class data scientists and award-winning producers, to shape the future of mental health. As a society, we’ve never needed this more.

Thank you to Tony Xu and Christopher Payne who brought me into DoorDash and from whom I’ve learned so much, and thank you to the many of the great colleagues along the way including Prabir Adarkar, R S.,  Ryan Parietti, Fuad Hannon, Casey North, A. Toby Espinosa, Arielle Salomon, Cody Aughney,  Shanna Prevé, Ian Simons, Ruth Isenstadt, Katie Egan, David Poulter, Kevin Tan, Chantal Leonard and so many more.  Additionally, I want to thank Ben Spero, Ram Jagannath, Julia Cheek, Sean Brecker, Russell Glass for their guidance throughout the Headspace process.
