Tommy Ngo

Head of Product - NFT, Blockchain Gaming

Tommy Ngo was the Head of Product for Blockchain Gaming at Zynga, but he is no longer in that role. In September 2024, Tommy Ngo left Zynga along with Matt Wolf to form D20 Labs, a new company that acquired Zynga's blockchain game project Sugartown.356

Prior to his work in blockchain gaming, Tommy Ngo had a background in design. His LinkedIn profile shows that he worked as a designer for various companies, including Grip, Aura Bora, and Someone & Others.2 He studied Visual Communication and Graphic Design at the University of Oklahoma from 2014 to 2020.2

At Zynga, Ngo was involved in the development of Sugartown, the company's first blockchain game announced in August 2023.1 The game leveraged Ethereum-based NFTs and introduced creatures called 'Oras'.1

After leaving Zynga, Ngo co-founded D20 Labs with Matt Wolf, where they continue to develop Sugartown and other blockchain gaming projects.56 The move to form D20 Labs and acquire Sugartown from Zynga was described as a way to "operate at the level web3 requires".6

It's worth noting that Tommy Ngo's email addresses were listed as [email protected] and [email protected], though the Zynga email may no longer be active given his departure from the company.4
