Tony Butler is an academic at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).2 He is also a Professor at the School of Population Health, University of New South Wales.45 Tony Butler leads the NHMRC Australian Centre of Research Excellence in Offender Health.13

The JHRP offers two electives at UNSW: Public Health and Corrections (CRIM 3022), and Inside the Criminal Mind (SOMS1501).13 He supervises several PhD students with an interest in prisoner and offender health, including quantitative and qualitative research, and interventions aimed at improving health and justice outcomes for this population group.13
