Tony Mantia is a Chicago-based playwright and screenwriter with a background in writing for screen and stage.

His play, Lady Bug Heaven, won Theater Masters' Take Ten 2020 competition and was set for an Off-Broadway premiere.

Tony is known for focusing on family and 'found family' issues, masculinity, and male fragility in his works, often blending comedy with dark and painful moments.

Tony is a graduate of the MFA program in Writing for Screen and Stage at Northwestern University and holds a B.A. in Advertising/Public Relations and Theatre from Loyola University Chicago.

In addition to his creative pursuits, Tony has held various roles in organizations like Protea Film, Northwestern University, Loyola University Chicago, and more.

Having a background in comedy, he enjoys baseball, spending time with his dog, and indulging in homemade dips in his free time.
