Torrie Shaffer is a highly accomplished professional with a strong academic background in Chemical Engineering.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with Higher Honors from New Mexico Tech in 2015, where she actively participated in organizations like AIChE, Tau Beta Pi, and SWE.

Following her undergraduate studies, Torrie interned at ExxonMobil, gaining practical experience in the Downstream EMRE group where she evaluated columns and pumps.

She then pursued further education and completed her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at Clemson University in 2018, focusing on research related to Aqueous Phase Reforming of Glycerol.

During her time at Clemson, she worked on synthesizing and testing catalysts to produce hydrogen gas while also leveraging computational tools to enhance the research outcomes.

Currently, Torrie serves as a Process Engineer at TechnipFMC within the Process Technology division, where she is involved in designing various components for ethylene units and creating essential documentation for clients.

Her responsibilities at TechnipFMC include designing drums, heat exchangers, pumps, tanks, and towers, as well as conducting simulations and preparing detailed reports for different process units.
