Earlier this week, I had the privilege of engaging in a meaningful exchange alongside an esteemed panel of policymakers at the AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) and OMFIF 4th Annual European Financial Integration Conference in Frankfurt, which Standard Chartered was a proud co-sponsor.
The panel was expertly moderated by Dr. Sabine Dittrich, MBA HEC Paris and I was joined by Alexandra Jour-Schroeder, Christophe Bories, Dr. Florian Toncar and Michael McGrath TD. Our conversations highlighted the importance of the EU to keep working towards the development of a fully-fledged capital markets to finance its green and digital transitions, while continuing international cooperation to address these global challenges. I was delighted to witness the strong political backing for the Capital Markets Union project, and I aspire to see the growth of a deeply integrated market that is open to the world.
