𝟰𝟭% of employees indicated they experienced a lack of workplace support for achieving personal and performance growth goals. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟰 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟬 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. For a small global enterprise of 50,000 employees, that can translate to 21,000 extremely dissatisfied employees. Even if a manager isn't seeing the impact of that, customers almost certainly are.
Inflationary pressures and a tight labour market mean that unless an organization has limitless payroll capital and extraordinarily loyal employees, attracting new talent and holding on to some of its most valuable assets should keep most managers tossing and turning through the night.
But there’s some good news among all this worry - We haven’t yet arrived at our “New Normal”. Smart, proactive organizations can write the future. This is a strategic, competitive opportunity to come out ahead of the pack with limited risk and high reward.
Over the next five years, smart, progressive organizations have an opportunity to work with their employees to co-create a new way forward together. Working better with the people you already have means recognizing good people in authentic, meaningful ways; they know your business and your culture, have established relationships, and are good to invest in.
If you need to replace your good people, prepare to pay more, but also prepare to accommodate more, offer more perks, invest time and money and others’ time, then get the new person up to speed and HOPE they are a fit for the role, the business, the culture.
The critical rips in the fabric of our workplace culture are not new; it was present before the pandemic. COVID shone some pretty harsh light on our working world and served as an accelerant to many challenges, issues, and - yes, problems - that could be swept under the rug.
Quinton Group created iLearnOnQ™ to address those gaps even before COVID brought them forward. Our enterprise-wide e-Learning platform helped organizations move forward and continue to grow and expand during a difficult time in business. We would be happy to meet with you to see if this is something you would like to have in your organization. https://lnkd.in/gKh8-43D What are your thoughts about this article?
