I believe design is the highest form of consideration for another person. I enjoy putting humanity back into design by helping to make products more considerate of the people who use them.

I'm fortunate to have an education in human factors psychology, which is a field that utilizes extensive knowledge of how people perceive, think about, and interact with their world in an effort to build better products, systems, and environments. Because of this grounding in scientific understanding of we work, believe human factors is uniquely positioned to tackle some of the more challenging topics of emerging technology development (i.e., how to build a usable interface for something that's never existed before).

I identify strongly with the Dieter Rams quote, "Question everything generally thought to be obvious." It's our responsibility as designers and researchers to challenge the assumptions baked into the current way of doing things in order to unlock what's possible for a better world.
