Trish Pangilinan studied Clinical Social Work at the University of Chicago for her AM (MSW) degree. She also holds a BA in American Studies and Sociology, with a concentration in Public Policy, from the University of Notre Dame, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her high school education was at IC Catholic Prep.

Trish Pangilinan's professional journey includes various roles at the American Cancer Society, where she served as the Senior Director of Cancer Control Strategic Partnerships and Program Management. She has held positions such as Regional Senior Director, Sr. Director of Mission Delivery, Director of Patient Care, and Manager of Patient Service Center within the organization.

Prior to her time at the American Cancer Society, Trish Pangilinan gained experience as a School Social Work Intern at North Kenwood Oakland Charter School, Adoption Specialist Intern at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, Match Support Representative at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Youth Advocate at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, and Teacher of English as a Second Language at St. Gabriel's College.
