I’ve submitted my art for years. I’m grateful it’s this painting that’s my first selected for the book. The portrait is a stylistic achievement painted during an illness that had me stuck alone in my office for 5 days. I wasn't happy and felt insecure about everything. In my sorrow, I turned to a guy that had it much worse than I did—someone who used their gift of words to elevate and educate. A gift I've been too ashamed to admit about myself. No more!
