Tristan Willey, originally from New Mexico, transitioned from a background in running and media to managing running stores on the East Coast. His journey led him to the vibrant cocktail scene when he joined Crif Dogs in the East Village, adjacent to the renowned bar PDT. This connection sparked his interest in cocktails, leading him to become a bartender at the bitters-focused Amor y Amargo. Tristan also honed his craft as a Distiller at Kings County Distillery, creating award-winning spirits like bourbon, rye, moonshine, and brandy. Noteworthy is his role in the creation of Booker and Dax, a pioneering bar concept in modern cocktail techniques, in collaboration with the Momofuku team and Dave Arnold. Recognized as one of Zagat's 30 under 30 and Eater's National Bartender of the Year, Tristan shares his expertise at various industry events worldwide and contributes to esteemed publications with his insights on drinking culture.
