Concerned about student safety? CSBA's Safe Schools Toolkit answers a lot of key questions with new resources, policy recommendations, and implementation guidance to help keep campuses safe.
The toolkit is divided into sections addressing key issues like positive school climate, comprehensive school safety plans, bullying and cyberbullying, impacts of safety threats, behavioral threat assessment, infrastructure planning, options-based responses to armed assailants, sexual violence and harassment, alcohol and illicit drugs, and crisis communications. Proud of the work CSBA staff, especially our Research and Education Policy Department, did on this important guide for schools.
A record-breaking heat wave and an early start to fire season has the whole state concerned about what's to come. And while school leaders can't prevent wildfires, they can take steps to prepare for a disaster and help mount an effective response for their students and communities. These wildfire preparedness resources will help school leaders achieve emergency readiness. #wildfire #schoolsafety #californiaschools
