Broadcast Meteorologist / Incident Response Meteorologist

Troy Kimmel is a seasoned meteorologist with over 40 years of experience in broadcast meteorology, severe weather forecasting, and aviation meteorology.

Troy began his career in television at KBTX-TV in Bryan/College Station in 1978, later moving to various television stations like KVUE, KTBC, and KEYE, serving as Chief Meteorologist.

In addition to his TV roles, Troy has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses on Weather and Climate for over three decades.

As the owner of KimCo Meteorological Services, Troy provides meteorological data and services to companies, alongside being the Team Meteorologist for Texas A & M University's football program.

A Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, Troy has contributed significantly to the field, serving as Councilor of the National Weather Association and holding Radio and Television Seals of Approval.

His specialties include Broadcast Meteorology, Severe Weather Forecasting, Aviation Meteorology, and Meteorological/Geographical Education.

Troy holds a BS in Geography from Texas A&M University and has been extensively involved in various meteorological organizations and media outlets.
